OverviewVTG is looking for a Senior Acquisition Specialist in Chantilly, VA that provides expert‑level acquisition leadership, advising government and program leadership on acquisition strategy, compliance, and execution across complex procurements.What will you do?Lead acquisition strategy development for complex or high‑visibility procurementsAdvise program leadership on acquisition approaches, contract structures, and risk mitigationOversee development and review of all acquisition documentation for FAR complianceSupport or advise on source selection planning and executionServe as senior liaison to contracting officers, legal counsel, and senior stakeholdersIdentify acquisition risks, schedule impacts, and regulatory constraintsMentor junior and mid‑level acquisition specialistsSupport program reviews, audits, and acquisition governance activitiesDo you have what it takes?TS/SCI with Poly RequiredBachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred10+ years of acquisition or procurement experienceDeep expertise in FAR, DFARS, and federal acquisition lifecycleProven experience supporting large, complex federal procurementsStrong leadership, advisory, and stakeholder engagement skillsPreferred Qualifications: Experience supporting IC, DoD, or DOJ mission programs, DAWIA Level III or equivalent certification, Experience supporting multiple contract vehicles and acquisition portfolios
