Overview Children’s Critical Care seeks a full-time BE/BC pediatric critical care physician to join a team of 3 pediatric critical care physicians to cover the Antelope Valley Medical Center (AVMC) Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. Qualified applicants will possess outstanding clinical and interpersonal skills as well as share a passion to deliver the right pediatric care, at the right time, and at the right place. About AVMC AVMC sits in the north-east corner of Los Angeles County in the city of Lancaster. AVMC is the only full-service, acute-care hospital in the Antelope Valley. Highlights Serving the region since 1955 Service area is over 1,500 square miles 220,000 patient visits per year 4,500 deliveries per year 130,000 emergency department visits per year Emergency Department Approved for Pediatrics (EDAP) Level II Trauma Center (the only trauma center in NE Los Angeles County) 1,300 trauma visits per year California Children’s Services (CCS) Pediatric Community Hospital Pediatric Unit with 22 beds Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (Level IIIB) with 21 beds Service requirements Expected service requirement is 13 weeks of PICU coverage per year.
