They work in settings such as hospitals, clinics, and rehabilitation centers, creating personalized, evidence-based treatment plans using exercise and manual therapy to help patients recover and become independent. This role requires strong clinical skills, effective communication, critical thinking, and a commitment to high-quality, safe patient care. Essential Responsibilities Evaluate patients’ physical conditions using standardized tests, clinical examinations, and patient history to identify functional limitations and treatment needs Develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings and patient goals Implement physical therapy treatment plans using various techniques to improve mobility and reduce pain Operate specialized physical therapy equipment and modalities safely and effectively, ensuring proper maintenance and calibration of devices Assess patient progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and document evaluations, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, body mechanics, injury prevention, and self-management techniques Maintain a safe treatment environment by adhering to infection control protocols, safety guidelines, and regulatory standards Engage in quality assurance and professional development to stay current with best practices Support discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions in community or home-based settings Perform other duties within the scope of practice as assigned Required Qualifications Valid Physical Therapy license in compliance with state regulations Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC) Preferred Qualifications Doctorate degree in physical therapy Physical therapy experience; new grads are welcome to apply Other certifications or licenses may be required for this position Skills & Abilities Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication English language proficiency (reading and writing) Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and follow verbal instructions; PC skills Physical & Interpersonal Requirements Physical: ability to remain stationary, move about, lift 50-100 lbs, push/pull, and bend Interpersonal: ability to work effectively with diverse personnel Technical/Motor: ability to grasp, manipulate, push/pull, and maneuver equipment Mental: ability to cope with frequent public contact and deadlines; work under supervision or independently as needed Sensory: visual acuity Benefits Highly competitive pay for travel professionals Medical, dental, and vision insurance from day one PTO after 1560 hours Life and short-term disability insurance 401(k) with matching Refer-a-friend bonus 24/7 recruiter support Licensure and CEU reimbursement Weekly pay and cancellation protection Guaranteed hours and mileage reimbursement Why Fusion?
