Job Opportunity: MDS Coordinator, RN

Our organization, a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility located in Skowhegan, is currently in search of a dedicated MDS Coordinator, RN. This pivotal clinical position involves overseeing the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process, conducting and reviewing MDS assessments, and ensuring that documentation is both accurate and timely. This is essential for supporting personalized care plans and maximizing reimbursement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the RAI process to ensure compliance and quality.
  • Complete and audit MDS assessments for accuracy.
  • Maintain timely documentation to support individualized care plans.
  • Collaborate with nursing, therapy, and interdisciplinary teams to evaluate resident outcomes.
  • Ensure adherence to federal and state regulations.
  • Provide education and training to staff members.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Experience with MDS assessments and the RAI process.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
