Job Description

Provide compassionate, attentive care to older adults, patients with dementia, and rehabilitation patients in a skilled nursing facility. Reporting to a registered nurse, the Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) supports daily patient needs, promotes safety and comfort, and maintains accurate care documentation through electronic health records.

8 Week Contract with the option to extend

8 hour shifts per day; 40 hours per week

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate patient care in accordance with established care plans.
• Measure and record vital signs.
• Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and activities of daily living.
• Support personal hygiene and meal assistance.
• Maintain clean, orderly patient rooms and care areas.
• Monitor patient safety and promptly report concerns to the registered nurse.
• Document care accurately in electronic health records.
• Communicate respectfully with patients and families.

Qualifications

• One or more years of nursing assistance experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• State Certified Nursing Assistant certification.
• Basic Life Support certification.
• Experience assisting with activities of daily living, vital signs monitoring, and patient transfers.
• Knowledge of infection control and electronic health records.
• Experience supporting patients with dementia.
• Strong communication, empathy, and teamwork skills.
