E and I Estimator - Remote - Data Centers

ELECTRICAL & INSTRUMENTATION (E&I) ESTIMATOR TO SUPPORT LARGE-SCALE HYPERSCALE DATA CENTER PROJECTS. REMOTE THIS INDIVIDUAL WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR PREPARING COMPLETE AND ACCURATE ESTIMATES FOR ELECTRICAL, INSTRUMENTATION, LOW-VOLTAGE, AND CONTROLS SCOPES FROM CONCEPTUAL BUDGETING THROUGH FINAL BID SUBMISSION.

About the Role

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE HAS SIGNIFICANT EXPERIENCE ESTIMATING COMPLEX INDUSTRIAL ELECTRICAL PROJECTS, PREFERABLY WITHIN DATA CENTERS, MISSION-CRITICAL FACILITIES, SEMICONDUCTOR MANUFACTURING, OR LARGE INDUSTRIAL EPC ENVIRONMENTS.

Responsibilities

PREPARE COMPLETE CONCEPTUAL, BUDGETARY, AND HARD BID ESTIMATES.
ANALYZE ENGINEERING DRAWINGS, SPECIFICATIONS, ONE-LINE DIAGRAMS, P&IDs, AND PROJECT DOCUMENTATION.
PERFORM DETAILED QUANTITY TAKEOFFS FOR:
MEDIUM- AND LOW-VOLTAGE ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS
SWITCHGEAR, MCCS, TRANSFORMERS, BUS DUCT, CABLE TRAY, CONDUIT SYSTEMS
UNDERGROUND ELECTRICAL, GROUNDING SYSTEMS, LIGHTING SYSTEMS
INSTRUMENTATION, FIBER OPTICS, STRUCTURED CABLING
BUILDING AUTOMATION INTERFACES, FIRE ALARM SYSTEMS, SECURITY SYSTEMS
DEVELOP COMPLETE LABOR ESTIMATES UTILIZING PRODUCTIVITY FACTORS.
SOLICIT AND EVALUATE VENDOR AND SUBCONTRACTOR QUOTATIONS.
PREPARE EQUIPMENT PRICING AND MATERIAL COST ANALYSES.
DEVELOP INDIRECT COST ESTIMATES INCLUDING:
TEMPORARY POWER, TEMPORARY LIGHTING, EQUIPMENT, GENERAL CONDITIONS
SITE LOGISTICS, SUPERVISION
IDENTIFY PROJECT RISKS AND DEVELOP CONTINGENCY RECOMMENDATIONS.
PARTICIPATE IN VALUE ENGINEERING REVIEWS.
COORDINATE WITH OPERATIONS, PROJECT MANAGEMENT, ENGINEERING, AND PROCUREMENT TEAMS.
ATTEND PRE-BID MEETINGS AND CLIENT ESTIMATE REVIEWS.
ASSIST WITH BID CLARIFICATIONS AND NEGOTIATIONS.
SUPPORT CHANGE ORDER PRICING DURING PROJECT EXECUTION.
MAINTAIN HISTORICAL ESTIMATING DATABASES.
ENSURE ESTIMATES COMPLY WITH COMPANY ESTIMATING PROCEDURES AND CLIENT REQUIREMENTS. xhyhwjd

Qualifications

7+ YEARS OF ELECTRICAL & INSTRUMENTATION ESTIMATING EXPERIENCE
3+ YEARS ESTIMATING HYPERSCALE DATA CENTERS, MISSION-CRITICAL FACILITIES, OR LARGE INDUSTRIAL EPC PROJECTS
STRONG UNDERSTANDING OF: NEC, NFPA, IEEE STANDARDS
INDUSTRIAL ELECTRICAL CONSTRUCTION PRACTICES
EXPERIENCE ESTIMATING PROJECTS EXCEEDING $25 MILLION IN ELECTRICAL VALUE
STRONG BLUEPRINT AND SPECIFICATION INTERPRETATION SKILLS
ADVANCED QUANTITY TAKEOFF EXPERIENCE
EXCELLENT MATHEMATICAL AND ANALYTICAL SKILLS
STRONG COMMUNICATION AND PRESENTATION ABILITIES
