Forklift Technician I

Role Material Handling Equipment (MHE) Technician responsible for repairing and maintaining electric and propane industrial lift trucks, pallet jacks, scissor lifts, and cherry pickers. Key Duties Perform repairs, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance on MHE, including monitoring, trending, and logging work in computerized systems. Follow manufacturer guidelines for maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, calibrations, and inspections. Interpret plans, schematics, and manuals; assist with battery and electrical system repairs; support building, refrigeration, and electrical maintenance activities. Work in warehouse environments, including freezer areas, ensuring safety and proper handling of equipment. Qualifications & Skills High School Diploma or equivalent. Knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical systems (AC/DC), hydraulic systems, and PLC controls. Experience with logging work orders and preventive maintenance, ideally with Crown, Raymond, or Toyota equipment. Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to interpret technical schematics.
