Job Description

Minimum Requirements:

3 or more years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Position Description:

Immediate opening for a Temporary Research Assistant position is available at the Price Institute of Surgical Research studying colorectal cancer and Inflammatory Bowel Disease. A successful candidate can assist research technicians and research fellows under general supervision, to execute a variety of routine and non-routine experiments at a professional level.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a related field of science.

Essential responsibilities include:

Aid in the performance of routine and non-routine experiments, which are moderate. Tests may include those involving RNA and protein extractions, PCR, and other basic biochemical tests.

Help transcribe and analyze data.

May assist in maintaining long-term tissue cultures of rodent or human cell lines and monitor cells for viability and contamination.

Perform basic literature searches and help to prepare presentations and written articles for publication.

All other duties as assigned.

Excellent organizational and communication skills and ability to work with a highly interactive group.

Target Compensation Maximum:

$100.00

Target Compensation Minimum:

$8.25

Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
