Curator (Box Office), Cinema Center

Location: Fort Wayne Cinema Center, 437 E Berry Street Fort Wayne IN 46802

Hours: 5 - 15 hrs a week.

Position Responsibilities, Operations & Events:

  • Work the box office as needed Thursday through Sunday afternoons and evenings, and other special events:
  • Must have or be able to get a license to serve alcohol
  • Opening & closing of facilities
  • Operate ticket counter
  • Operate concessions
  • Pop popcorn
  • Operate projector & playback systems
  • Schedule programming
  • Address or direct any member issues & questions during events
  • Watch movies and engage with members & patrons
  • Ingest digital content into projector systems
  • Create digital theatrical presentation playlists
  • Sanitation between patrons, between screenings, and before & after events
  • Assist in planning, execution, and breakdown of in-house and off-site events
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Administrative

  • Answer phones and communicate with patrons and members during shift
  • Help identify immediate facilities needs
  • Communicate with the senior staff and Executive team as needed

We strive to engage our community with programming that stimulates, expands thought, inspires the spirit, promotes discussion and fosters empathy through artistic and cultural experiences.
