Job Summary and Qualifications The Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist will work under the supervision of the Cath Lab Supervisor and the CV Services Director, cooperating with physicians and nursing staff to assist with diagnostic and therapeutic invasive cardiology procedures in the catheterization labs. What you will do in this role: Assist with diagnostic and therapeutic invasive cardiology patient procedures under general supervision. Demonstrate knowledge of principles of radiographic imaging, patient physiologic monitoring, and cardiac arrhythmia recognition. Comply with principles of sterile technique. Collect and assemble data for database, outcome analysis, and performance improvement. Carry out any other activities assigned by the Cath Lab Supervisor or CV Services Director to ensure the department runs effectively and efficiently. Participate in the on‑call rotation and respond within 30 minutes to the Cath Lab when on call. Provide care at both Overland Park Regional and Menorah Medical Center campuses as determined by the Market Pool agreement and staffing assignments subject to change based on facility staffing needs. What qualifications you will need: Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist program or Invasive Cardiovascular Technology program (preferred). Two years of current experience in Cath lab may substitute for completion of a Radiology Technologist program or an invasive cardiovascular technologist program. Current BCLS certification required within 30 days of start date and must be maintained. ACLS certification required within 6 months of employment. Active RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) or RT licensure preferred. If a new invasive CVT graduate, must attain credential within 1 year of eligibility date. One year of experience in Cath lab or equivalent clinical experience as part of an educational program. On‑the‑job training with current 10+ years of experience may substitute for completion of a Radiology Technologist program, an invasive cardiovascular technology program, and an RCIS.
