Operations Manager

Job Summary

The Operations Manager oversees daily transportation operations for shared-ride or company vehicle services. This role ensures drivers, routes, and schedules run efficiently while maintaining safety, regulatory compliance, and high-quality customer service. The Operations Manager also leads staff performance, supports client relationships, and helps maintain strong customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and support drivers, dispatchers, and field staff.
Manage daily route scheduling, trip assignments, and service coverage.
Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
Monitor driver performance, attendance, and service quality.
Handle customer service issues, complaints, and service escalations.
Coordinate vehicle maintenance, inspections, and fleet readiness.
Conduct onboarding, training, and ongoing coaching for drivers.
Track operational metrics (on-time performance, trip completion, safety incidents).
Work with clients/contracts to ensure service level agreements are met.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
3-4 years of management experience in paratransit or transportation.
Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
Ability to manage fast-paced operations, make sound decisions, and solve problems effectively.
Proficiency with scheduling, dispatch systems, and operational reporting.
Knowledge of safety and compliance regulations is preferred.

Work Environment:

Mix of office and field work.
Occasional evenings or weekends are required.
