Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Location: Allegany County Jail, Belmont, NY. Responsibilities The Licensed Practical Nurse will primarily be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care while ensuring the proper flow of relevant information is disseminated to appropriate personnel. In addition, the LPN will maintain, update, and work with electronic medical records and ensure that they are secure. Maintain accurate records of all controlled substances, narcotics, and sharps in accordance with applicable state and federal laws. Conduct sick call for patients and provide treatment for illnesses and injuries as defined by written protocol and approved by the Medical Director. Observe, report, and document symptoms, reactions, and progress of inmates/patients and participate in the formulation of the plan of care. Record, retrieve, and file medical information in the inmate/patient medical record. Qualifications Active LPN license in the state where the facility is located. Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment. Ability to multi‑task. Strong patient assessment skills. Excellent communication skills. Demonstrated clinical competency. Compensation and Benefits Salary: $30.00 per hour base rate plus shift differentials up to $5.50 per hour.
