RN - PACU/Pre-Post Op

Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Pre-Op and PACU unit. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care. This position involves working rotating 8-hour shifts that may include varying start times. Hours may extend beyond scheduled shifts based on patient census and operational needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adolescent and adult patients in the Pre-Op and PACU settings.
• Ensure effective patient assessment, monitoring, and documentation using Epic.
• Administer medications and manage the medication system using Pyxis.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care and outcomes.
• Facilitate smooth patient transitions in and out of the operating room.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in Pre-Op and PACU settings.
• Previous charge experience is required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory.
• Must be familiar with Epic documentation and Pyxis medication systems.
• Capable of managing a patient ratio of 1:2.

Additional Information

Scrubs will be provided for all staff. This opportunity is open to experienced travelers with the required qualifications. First-time travelers will not be considered for this position.
