CRE Portfolio Monitoring Underwriter, small to mid-level loans

Job Title

Old National Bank is seeking a talented individual for a role focused on financial analysis and underwriting for small to mid level Commercial Real Estate loan transactions.

Responsibilities

The role involves performing financial analysis and underwriting for commercial real estate loans, managing the loan portfolio through annual credit reviews, covenant testing, and borrowing base testing. The candidate will collaborate with Relationship Managers and internal support staff to provide credit expertise and monitor the portfolio. They will also provide clear, concise, and accurate financial analysis and risk assessment for new and existing clients.

Required Education, Experience and Skills

• 2-5 years of experience in commercial real estate appraisal or credit analysis
• Skilled with MS Office and proficient with financial spreading software
• Strong analytical, organizational skills along with the ability to prioritize multiple projects
• Pleasant interpersonal skills and effective communication skills, both written and verbal
• Occasional travel to other offices or client locations
• Ability to clearly communicate risk criteria, respond objectively and with confidence when challenged and involve the Manager as appropriate
• Bachelor's degree in business with a major in finance or accounting

Duties/Responsibilities

• Conduct in depth review of financial information to determine borrower's ability to repay debt
• Prepare approval presentations justifying assigned risk rating and compliance with Bank policies
• Develop and maintain trusted relationships with financial and legal professionals
• Ensure compliance with consumer protection regulations
• Review third party reports and interact with clients to support the underwriting process
