Job Description
Registered Nurse - Oncology

Schedule

Night shift: 4x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30).

Assignment Details

Contract length: 13 weeks; guaranteed 3 shifts per 13 weeks.

Requirements

• 1 year of experience required.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required; BSN preferred.
• Must pass EKG exam - interpretation/management of dysrhythmias required.
• Pending license accepted.
• Local candidates are not accepted within a 75-mile radius.
• Must be available for every other weekend.
• Floating within service line is required.
• No on-call obligation.
• RTO restrictions: no more than 7 days of RTO per 13-week contract.
• Charting is done through an electronic medical record system.

Responsibilities

• Administer chemotherapy (must be certified to do so).
• Perform IV starts and access ports and central lines.
• Provide care for patients undergoing stem cell transplantation.
• Support post-treatment care for patients with solid tumors and leukemia.
• Maintain patient safety and provide quality patient care in a high-acuity oncology setting.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes.
