Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse / Emergency Department – Maryland

Schedule: Every other weekend required (Saturday and Sunday); Float within scope to support rapid evaluation units and behavioral health units; Patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:6 depending on unit assignment

Highlights:

• 54-bed Emergency Department averaging 120 visits per day treating patients across all age groups from neonatal through geriatric
• Primary Stroke Center with Gold Plus recognition from the American Heart Association
• Support two locked Behavioral Health units within the ED (1:6 ratio) with dedicated security team assistance
• Work with two rapid evaluation units managing both urgent care and critical care needs
• Cerner charting system with FirstNet and Launch platforms
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and care management

Requirements:

• Valid Maryland or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 3 years of Emergency Department experience required (may consider 2 years of Level I or Level II trauma experience)
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale, and PALS required
• Prophecy Relias Advanced Emergency Department assessment required
• 4 hours of annual stroke continuing education required
• CEN certification preferred
• Precepting and training experience preferred
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
