Lead Tax Analyst

Responsibilities Support the goal of maximizing the after‑tax return of the group Research complex issues arising from new business activity and legislative developments Lead advanced tax systems improvements and process improvements Participate in the professional trade tax committees and working groups Prepare, coordinate, oversee and review the most complex aspects of the tax compliance and tax provision processes Research, model, and draft arguments of complex issues for tax audits and appeals Identify and lead process improvement department projects Evaluate strengths of the position and recommend strategies Assist management in analyzing and integrating data related to mergers and acquisitions Provide training to tax staff and develop ongoing internal and external relationships Requirements CPA license preferred 5+ years of experience preferred Experience with GAAP and statutory accounting Demonstrated experience analyzing complex concepts related to taxation, insurance accounting, or a related field Experience working in the insurance industry preferred Understanding of accounting, accounting systems, budget, or tax concepts Demonstrated experience communicating complex financial information Demonstrated experience providing customer‑focused solutions or support Demonstrated experience reflecting flexibility and problem‑solving attributes Core Competencies Expertise in tax compliance and provision processes, with a strong focus on analyzing complex taxation issues and providing strategic recommendations.
