We are growing rapidly and looking for high performers at every level to grow with us.POSITION SUMMARY:The Food & Beverage Lead will be responsible for supervising team members, catering events, and assisting with any tasks related to concessions. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:Directly align with the SFM Mission Statement and Core Values Manage the daily production, preparation & presentation of all food for the facility's concessions and special events to ensure quality consistent product is produced that meets Gulfport Sportsplex standardsAssist in training, mentoring, and supervising all food & beverage Team Members Open, supervise, operate, and close concessions locations Monitor quality control constantly Assist F&B Manager in weekly and monthly inventory countingEffectively manage all cooler, freezer, and dry storage areas in assigned Concession AreaEnsure highest levels of food safety & sanitation are being maintained Communicate kitchen equipment repair needs in a timely mannerOperationally manage Health and Safety practices to ensure inspection compliance that result in A scoresRecord information about inventory and health practicesEffectively manage customer complaints and suggestionsComplete special projects and daily assignments as directed by F&B ManagerEffectively manage the food & beverage aspect of a Concession Area during eventsManage the efficient use of supplies during eventsEffectively train, develop, and hold hourly Team Members accountableTHE IDEAL CANDIDATE HAS:Proven success of effective leadership in a high-volume concessions/food & beverage environment Experience and success in supervising staff in order to effectively execute a successful shiftExperience and success in customer service and leadershipAction-oriented personality with a 'get it done' attitude and proficiency for efficiencyMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Must be at least 21 years old2+ years of food & beverage experience in a leadership role Food Safety Manager and ServSafe Certifications are preferred Requires good communication skills, both verbal and writtenMust have strong leadership and mathematical skillsMust be detail-oriented and have outstanding organizational skillsAbility to maintain focus in a high-volume, fast paced environmentMust be able to work under pressure, be decisive, and work well in a group settingAbility to motivate employees and prioritizeMust be able to work irregular shifts to include nights, weekends, holidays as neededWORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Must be able to lift 40 poundsSignificant walking, lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling may be requiredMay be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time Facility has intermittent noise
