Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Location: McAllen, TX

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 7 PM - 7 AM

Job Description: The Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive care in the Labor and Delivery unit, managing patients during labor, delivery, and in the antepartum recovery phases. The ideal applicant will demonstrate a positive attitude, compassion, and flexibility, working effectively within a team environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in vaginal deliveries, Cesarean sections, and other obstetric procedures.
• Monitor patients receiving magnesium and Pitocin drips, including titration.
• Utilize GE EFM for fetal monitoring and CPN EMR systems.
• Provide education and support to patients and families during labor and delivery.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Current RN license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
• Competency in intermittent electronic fetal monitoring.
• Experience in circulating in Labor & Delivery OR is preferred.
