This position will primarily oversee Blood Bank, Urinalysis and Coagulation departments. Experience Three (3) years of full-time (or the equivalent of full-time) experience as a licensed senior scientist in a clinical laboratory performing varied clinical tests and analyses. Other Requirements A background investigation/fingerprint and/or physical exam may be required prior to the start of employment. Desirable Qualifications BA / BS or equivalent in Medical Technology, Laboratory Science, or related field Possession of a valid and unrestricted license for Clinical Laboratory Scientist issued by the State of California At least 6 years of experience as a licensed Clinical Laboratory Scientist with a high degree of proficiency and understanding in all laboratory disciplines Knowledge of Federal, State, County, and Joint Commission standards and regulations Prior supervisory or managerial experience is an advantage Experience with Epic and Wellsky laboratory information systems is an advantage Tech-savvy and proficient with computing tools Equal Employment Opportunity It is the policy of Contra Costa County to consider all applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, ethnicity, age, disability, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, ancestry, medical condition, genetic information, military or veteran status, or other protected category under the law.
