Millwright Apprentice

Craft Professionals Are you interested in an opportunity to earn a paycheck while learning the fundamentals of a skilled trade? If you answered yes, Cianbro has a great opportunity where you can take your first step towards a career in construction! Selected participants will begin their employment with a 4-week educational session within the trade of millwright work. Participants of the millwright apprenticeship will learn how to take proper measurements using: a tape measure, scales, steel rules, micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators. Their focus will be on learning to work as a team, safe work practices, and developing the fundamental skills needed to assist with a specific trade. The wage range for this position is $16 to $22 per hour. Compensation will be determined based on knowledge and experience. In addition to the items above, all participants will learn how to take basic measurements, the proper use of hand and power tools, and equipment operation (aerial, scissor, and forklift). Upon successful completion of the 4-week program, participants will receive a starter toolbox and a project assignment where they will apply their newly acquired skills while working alongside Cianbro's craft professionals. Based on performance, these new team members will have the opportunity to receive periodic wage increases and endorsements into one of Cianbro's formal, long‑term apprenticeship programs. Once endorsed, team members will continue to earn a paycheck while they learn and progress towards achieving journey‑level proficiency and journey‑level wages. Location: Kittery, Maine. Travel may be required upon completion of the program.
