Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The position requires expertise in both Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology with a focus on providing high-quality patient care during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field is required.
• Experience working in a Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology setting is mandatory.
• First-time travelers are welcome.
• Essential skills include scrub, circulate, and telemetry experience.
• Previous involvement in STEMI call is required.
• Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIH.

Job Details

• Target Ratios: 1:3-4
• Shift Schedule: 8-hour days from 07:30 to 16:00
• Contract Length: 16 weeks preferred
• Coverage: All staff rotate weekly to provide procedure coverage across all services.
• Call Requirement: 24/7 coverage for STEMI/emergent/urgent IR and cardiology procedures, including callback times as specified.
• Patient Demographics: Focus on interventional radiology, invasive cardiology, peripheral vascular, and EP device implant procedures.
• Department Breakdown: 85% Interventional Radiology and 15% Invasive Cardiology.

Equipment and Systems

• Special Equipment: MAC Lab, IVUS, Toshiba Angio Lab, Angio Jet, Penumbra Thrombus System, CSI, Atherectomy System, Bovie System for Implant, Plasma Blade Cutter, Radiofrequency Ablation Unit, Venous Closure Unit, Sono Site, S2000 Ultrasound Unit.
• Unit Systems: EPIC for patient documentation.

Orientation and Additional Information

• Orientation for the position is 16 hours.
• Scrubs will be provided.

Interview Process

Candidates will be required to pass EKG testing prior to starting. Please provide interview availability for the next 72 hours to facilitate the approval process.
