A licensed Physical Therapist is responsible for assessing, treating, andrehabilitating patients with physical functioning disorders and wound care needs. This role involves developing individualized care plans, utilizing evidence-based interventions, and collaborating with the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes. Responsibilities:
- Screen, evaluate, and develop comprehensive treatment plans for patients with physical and wound care disorders.
- Administer procedures including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, modalities, assistive device usage, and wound management.
- Monitor patient progress, adjust treatments accordingly, and document outcomes in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Provide consultation, counseling, and education to patients, families, and caregivers regarding treatment plans and progress.
- Communicate regularly with supervising clinicians and team members to coordinate care and discuss patient status.
- Support supervision of assistants, aides, and students, ensuring adherence to professional standards and best practices.
- Hold a valid Oklahoma Physical Therapist license.
- Possess at least 1 year of PT experience, preferably in LTC or rehab settings.
- Demonstrate familiarity with standardized assessments, evidence-based practices, and documentation requirements.
- Capable of implementing treatment plans independently and collaborating within a multidisciplinary team.
- Have the ability to supervise and support PT assistants, aides, and students effectively.
- Comply with APTA and state practice acts, ethics, and professional conduct standards.
