The opportunity Delaware North Gaming is hiring full-time Hosts to join our team at Wheeling Island Casino in Wheeling, West Virginia. As a Host, you will be responsible for welcoming guests and managing the host station. Please note this is a tipped position; the hourly minimum pay listed doesn't include any potential tipped earnings. What will you do? Review floor plan and reservation book daily to create seating charts Seat guests and maintain control of wait times Inspect dining and serving areas to ensure cleanliness and proper setup Speak with guests to ensure satisfaction with food and service, respond to complaints, and thank guests as they are leaving Answer the restaurant telephone line during assigned hours of operation More about you Prior experience in a guest service environment preferred Ability to maintain a high energy level in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously Ability to effectively communicate with guests and team members No high school diploma or GED required Physical requirements Ability to remain on feet for the entire length of the shift Ability to maneuver between tables and around corners Ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds Shift details Days Evenings Holidays Weekends Who we are Wheeling Island Hotel-Casino-Racetrack in Wheeling, West Virginia, is a Delaware North-owned-and-operated regional gaming destination featuring 1,300 electronic gaming machines, 22 table games, live greyhound racing, and simulcast wagering.
