IT Business Analyst

Business AnalystThis Business Analyst role is an integral part of the Equity delivery team within TP ICAP Technology Change Management. The primary responsibility of this role is to elicit, analyse and communicate detailed business and operational requirements to enable change across TP ICAP IT systems. The goal is to ensure these changes align strategically with the needs and expectations of stakeholders from multiple business units.Role ResponsibilitiesWork closely with the Product Managers/ Product Owners/ Development to design and build quality software solutions that align to the IT strategy/visionTake Ownership/Accountability for development of key features and drive to completion.Lead in the analysis of stakeholder objectives, challenging problem statements to deliver clear requirement documentation to allow scope and prioritisationLeverage AI tools to enhance analysis, documentation, and stakeholder communication, accelerating BA deliverables while identifying efficiency improvements and sharing best practices across the teamSupport the team through governance of defining scope and guiding estimation of work to be done by leveraging domain and business knowledgeCommunicate effectively on progress and ensure impediments, risks and dependencies are tracked and raised early to minimise impact to the delivery.Assist team members to understand the focus and delivery value of each milestone and each releaseBe proactive in supporting the team's engagement in a well-defined SDLC that supports planning, prioritisation and delivery needsDeliver against both Functional and Non-functional requirements.Manage ad-hoc tasks as requiredExperience / CompetencesEssential+4 years proven experience operating as a business analyst, preferably with finance or trading backgroundKnowledge of trading applications, order management and understanding of full trade lifecycleUnderstanding of the full project life cycle from requirements capture through to implementation, testing and deliveryAbility to work on multiple projects whilst managing multiple deadlines and differing prioritiesDemonstrate ability to illicit and articulate requirements between business and IT stakeholdersIdentify and define AI-driven opportunities across equities trading workflows, translating business requirements into AI-enabled solution specificationsAdept at working in Agile/ Agile SAFe delivery environment, exhibiting strong communication skills including collaboration with local and remote team membersLeverage AI tools to enhance analysis, accelerate delivery, and improve stakeholder communicationKnowledgeable in Jira or similar issue management system.Appreciation of the full SDLC and driving the importance of quality throughout this process.Contribute to functional testing of developed features to ensure these meet the delivery criteriaStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent attention to detail, highly organised with a proactive and independent approach to problem solving and innovative solutions.Self-starter with initiative and adaptabilityResults-oriented with a service mindset and accountabilityAbility to develop new skills and understand new technology as requiredClearly interprets and documents complex information to communicate project requirements effectively and concisely.Critically evaluate and offer challenge to design, approach or tooling to achieve the best outcome for the projectDesiredBackground and experience of Equity and Equity derivative productsKnowledge of trade and order managementFamiliarity of FIX and trade messaging protocolsExperience with TDD, BDD or similar approaches to specifying requirements and design.Band & LevelProfessional, 5Annual Salary$110,000 - $125,000 (Commensurate with experience)Not The Perfect Fit?Concerned that you may not meet the criteria precisely?
