Copy of Optometric Technician

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Optometric Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist our optometrists in providing top-quality eye care services. Responsibilities include conducting preliminary eye exams, maintaining patient records, and ensuring a smooth workflow within the clinic.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct pre-tests and gather patient medical histories
• Assist with visual acuity testing and lensometry
• Perform retinal imaging and other diagnostic tests
• Maintain and clean examination equipment
• Educate patients on contact lens care and eyewear options
• Manage patient flow and ensure efficient clinic operations
• Assist with administrative tasks as needed

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as an optometric technician or in a similar role preferred
• Strong understanding of optometric procedures and equipment
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems
• Certification as an Optometric Technician (COA or COT) is a plus
