Make a difference in the lives of students by providing your expertise as a School Psychologist in a supportive educational environment. This full-time, contract opportunity offers a consistent Monday through Friday schedule from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, working with students ages 5 to 22. Your skills will help shape a positive learning experience for children and young adults across Lancaster and Chatsworth locations.
Desired Qualifications:
- Hold a valid California Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) credential as a School Psychologist
- Experience working in school-based settings with a diverse student population
- Strong assessment, counseling, and consultation skills
- Ability to support both general and special education students
- Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration abilities
- Flexibility to work with various age groups and adapt to different educational settings
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational assessments to aid in eligibility determinations and educational planning
- Provide counseling and intervention services for students in individual and group settings
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to develop strategies that support academic and social-emotional success
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of individualized education programs
- Assist in designing and implementing positive behavior support plans
- Offer crisis support and consultation as needed within the school community
