Account Manager

Location: Hybrid across the western and southern suburbs Position Summary: We are seeking a licensed and experienced Employee Benefits Account Manager to join a growing benefits team. This individual will be responsible for servicing group benefits accounts and supporting clients with their health and life insurance needs. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering a high level of client service in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Manage day-to-day servicing of assigned employee benefits accounts, including renewals, enrollments, terminations, and ongoing plan administration Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, building and maintaining strong relationships with employers, carriers, and internal teams Ensure accurate and timely delivery of plan documents, communications, and required updates Coordinate with multiple insurance carriers and third-party administrators (TPAs) to resolve issues and ensure smooth policy issuance and renewals Partner with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve billing issues and guide employees through claims-related inquiries Maintain accurate and up-to-date account and client records within the agency management system Stay current on industry trends, regulatory changes, and employee benefits product offerings Qualifications: Active Life & Health Insurance license required 1+ years of experience in an employee benefits account management or servicing role Strong knowledge of group benefits products, including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability plans Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required; experience with HubSpot CRM or ticketing systems is a plus Preferred Traits: Client-first mindset with a proactive, solution-oriented approach Comfortable educating clients and assisting with employee enrollment support Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment $55,000 - $75,000 base salary (based on experience) Remote work environment Summer Slow Down Program (1 Friday off per month, June-August for Account Managers) Unlimited PTO 401(k) with company match Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance Short-Term and Long-Term Disability coverage #J-18808-Ljbffr First Search Inc.
