Payroll & Benefits Specialist - Job DescriptionReady to apply Before you do, make sure to read all the details pertaining to this job in the description below.Roles & ResponsibilitiesMaintain knowledge of all payroll and benefits software and websites used.Maintain knowledge of relevant laws and policies and proceduresRecommend development and revision of employee benefit programs by examining, evaluating, and optimizing employee understanding, acceptance, and interests, costs, regulatory requirements, and competitive advantage.Prepare for any benefit audits, including 401k, and consult with the auditorsCollaborate with internal staff, temps, and accounting on changes to or questions about payroll & benefitsPrepare and submit reports required or requestedProcess annual open enrollmentPrepare annual forms and filings for the controller to review and submitPay and file payroll taxes, workers comp, deductions, garnishments, etc.Send Annual Notices as required for payroll and benefitsAll other duties as assignedRequirements Essential SkillsSolid knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and regulations for employee benefitsHigh degree of professionalism, discretion, and confidentialityOutstanding organizational and time management skillsMeticulous and vigilant xhyhwjd attention to detailsExcellent written and oral communication skillsPeople skillsAnalytical and critical thinking skillsDeadline-drivenRequirementsBS/BA in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related fieldProfessional certification (e.g., SHRM) is a plus3+ years working experience in Human Resources, payroll, or benefits
