Research Technician

This is a part‑time temporary position in which a research technician will be drawn from a college pool to work on sponsored projects. The role involves field work, data collection, data entry, and data analysis, and may require remote or extreme location work. Responsibilities Collect, synthesize, archive, and distribute data, specimens, and knowledge. Use computerized spreadsheets and databases to enter and manipulate data. Produce charts and graphs to display data trends. Interpret data results for reporting. Work in remote locations, sometimes in extreme conditions. Coordinate and lead the activities of other team members. Minimum Qualifications High school graduation and 6 months of relevant field experience (Research Technician 1). 1 year of relevant college coursework and 1 year of relevant experience (Research Technician 2). 2 years of relevant college coursework and 2 years of relevant experience (Research Technician 3). Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 4 years of experience (Research Technician 4). Position Details This position is part‑time, non‑exempt, temporary, and part of a pooled role. New hires will be placed on the temporary salary schedule; the grade is determined by education and experience.
