Registered Nurse - Endoscopy/GI

Endoscopy RN Opportunity

The Endoscopy RN is responsible for providing specialized nursing care to patients undergoing endoscopic procedures. This role requires quick response capabilities and adherence to scope of practice to ensure patient safety and care quality.

Responsibilities:

• Perform pre-procedure assessments and prepare patients for endoscopic procedures.
• Administer medications and monitor patient vitals throughout the procedure.
• Collaborate with physicians and staff to ensure smooth operational flow.
• Maintain sterile techniques and adhere to infection control policies.
• Document patient care and procedural details accurately in the electronic health record.
• Respond promptly to call emergencies, remaining within 30 minutes of the facility as required.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active South Carolina or Compact RN license prior to start date.
• Possess at least 2 years of recent endoscopy or GI nursing experience.
• Certified in BLS and ACLS.
• Demonstrate the ability to work in a fast-paced, acute care environment.
• Show flexibility to accommodate block schedules, if approved.
• Must be willing to stay on-site or within radius for call response.
