Location: Juneau, AK | Full-Time, Year-Round | Comprehensive Relocation Package Available

Target Annual Compensation: $85,000 – $125,000+ (Base + Performance Bonuses & SPIFFs)

We are seeking a master-level Lead Residential Plumbing & Heating Technician ready to step into a Working Foreman role.

This position is designed for an experienced, senior-level field technician with 8+ years of hands-on residential experience who takes pride in top-tier craftsmanship and wants to transition into field leadership. You do not need prior formal management experience—the owner will personally mentor and train you on project scheduling, team coaching, and operational management. Your role is to be the premier technical anchor in the field: leading high-impact residential boiler, heating, and plumbing installations while guiding and developing apprentice crews.

What You Will Do

• Lead Residential Heating Installs: Oversee and execute hands-on installations of residential hydronic boilers, fuel oil burners, propane/natural gas furnaces, heat pumps, water heaters, and residential fuel tanks.
• Execute Plumbing Upgrades & Remodels: Direct wet-area plumbing renovations (bathtubs, shower kits, vanities), whole-home re-pipes, kitchen updates, and general piping expansions or freeze-break repairs.
• Crew Supervision & Jobsite Tracking: Keep multiple residential installation projects on schedule, auditing active job sites to maintain immaculate craftsmanship, safety, and local code compliance.
• Apprentice Coaching: Train, mentor, and cross-train junior technicians and apprentices on system diagnostics, proper piping layouts, and combustion safety.
• Technical Quality & Warranty Resolution: Partner with sales and estimating teams to verify job scopes, resolve complex technical installation challenges, and troubleshoot warranty callbacks.
• Customer Interaction: Serve as the professional face of the company on-site, walking homeowners through system operations and rebate opportunities.

What We Are Looking For

• 8+ Years of Professional Trade Experience: Deep, proven background in Residential Installation & Service .
• Cold-Climate Heating Proficiency: Strong, practical mastery of legacy and modern heating systems common in Alaska: hydronic heating loops, oil-fired burners, natural gas/propane appliances, and fuel storage systems.
• Residential Plumbing Depth: Thorough experience with residential water heaters, fixture installations, drain/waste/vent piping, and complete bathroom/kitchen plumbing remodels.
• Leadership Ambition: A patient, natural problem solver who enjoys teaching apprentices, solving tricky mechanical puzzles, and desires a pathway into a long-term field superintendent role.
• Logistics & Clearances: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to pass a standard criminal background check and drug screen.
• Climate & Location Readiness: Willingness to relocate to and work in Juneau, AK , with comfort operating in coastal Alaskan winter conditions.

• Target Annual Compensation: $85,000 – $125,000+ (Base salary/pay commensurate with trade experience + project completion bonuses & SPIFFs)
