Apartment Leasing Consultant – Affordable Housing
Akron, OH
$18–$20 per hour | Full-Time | Monday–Friday 8:00am–5:00pm

Career Strategies is actively seeking an experienced  Apartment Leasing Consultant for an affordable housing community in Akron, OH. This is a great opportunity for a compliance-oriented leasing professional who understands affordable housing programs and enjoys providing excellent resident service.

Position Overview:
We are looking for someone with prior leasing experience and hands-on knowledge of affordable housing programs such as LIHTC, Section 8, or HUD. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-driven, and comfortable managing compliance paperwork while maintaining strong customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist prospective and current residents
• Conduct tours and follow up with prospects
• Process rental applications and verify income documentation
• Ensure compliance with LIHTC, Section 8, and/or HUD guidelines
• Prepare lease agreements and renewals
• Maintain accurate resident files and data entry
• Submit and monitor work orders
• Provide professional and responsive customer service

Qualifications:

• Apartment leasing experience required
• Affordable housing experience required (LIHTC, Section 8, HUD)
• Strong understanding of compliance and income verification
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Experience with Yardi, OneSite, or similar property management software is a plus
