Job Title

Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 3 x 12-hour shifts per week | 36 hours per week | 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity emergency department setting with a 1:4 RN-to-patient ratio
• Manage a primary population including acute stroke, seizure, congestive heart failure, sepsis, acute MI, trauma, and diabetes
• Care for neuro-medicine and neurosurgical subspecialty patients including ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke, SAH, and traumatic injuries such as MVC, falls, and GSW
• Administer and monitor telemetry and IV drip therapies
• Perform or support ESI triage processes within the emergency department

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in North Carolina or a Compact state
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• CPI certification required (may be obtained during credentialing or onsite)
• Telemetry and IV drip experience required
• Experience in an emergency department setting

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Level I Trauma center experience strongly preferred
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification preferred
• ESI Triage training preferred
