Responsibilities This position will work 100% on‑site in Southaven, Mississippi Performs analyses to aid health care providers in the diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment of patients. Participates in the operational support activities necessary to maintain and optimize testing capabilities. Testing is performed in specialized laboratories and may include highly skilled manual techniques or automated testing using sophisticated instrumentation. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to instrument operation and maintenance, troubleshooting assays, evaluating tests for accuracy, assisting with interpreting results, and operational support activities to optimize testing. Works with multiple computer systems to retrieve information and report results. May work with minimal supervision and may assist with specimen collection. Must strictly adhere to safety protocols to work with infectious specimens, chemicals and other hazards. This position is a limited‑tenure role intended to support the formation, launch, and stabilization of a new company and laboratory. As the organization matures, the role is expected to transition to a permanent infrastructure position within a separate company operating independently from Mayo Clinic Laboratories. Responsibilities and schedules may vary as operational milestones are achieved with the anticipated post‑launch schedules: First Shift: 2:00 AM – 10:30 AM Second Shift: 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM Third shift: 7:00 pm – 2:30 am Tuesday–Saturday Qualifications Associate's degree from an accredited Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) program or U.S. military Medical Laboratory‑training program required. Experience working in a medical field preferred. Moderate to advanced computer skills. Possess good written and oral communication skills. Ability to prioritize work, manage time wisely, and adjust to changes in work volumes and projects. Phlebotomy preferred. Basic Life Support certification may be required within six months of hire, depending on location of hire. Limited X‑Ray Machine Operator (LXMO) certification may be required depending on location of hire. Compensation Detail Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. $26.52 – $39.32 per hour.
