Responsibilities Set up and operate precision and production machines such as conventional and/or CNC mills, lathes, jig borers, and grinders to machine parts to specifications and tolerances Calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, depth and angle of cut; adjust machine controls as required Verify conformance of finished work piece to specifications using measurement tools including calipers, scales, micrometers, blocks, and gauges Interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions, tolerances, sequence of operations, and setup requirements Preferred Education / Experience High school diploma or equivalent 7+ years of related discipline; or A combination of education and experience equivalent to above Preferred Knowledge / Ability Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals Machine experience covering a wide range of machines, materials, part shapes, and part sizes Proven experience as a Machinist with a focus on CNC machining Proficiency in CAM programming and operating various machine tools Strong understanding of tooling, including lathe and milling machine setups Compensation and Benefits This position offers competitive pay based on experience and skills.
