Salesforce Platform Developer

General Purpose And Scope Of The Position: Under the direction of the Assistant Vice President of CRM Operations, this position provides architecture and development support for the College's Salesforce platform. This role also supports technologies that integrate with Salesforce and align with the vision, mission, and strategic priorities of the College.

Major Responsibilities:

• Support a multi-org Salesforce CRM environment utilizing Education Architecture (EDA and/or Education Cloud) and Sales Cloud technologies.
• Develop and maintain Salesforce functionality, including business enhancements, user account maintenance, activities and events, workflows, data structures, integrations, and other routine platform tasks.
• Perform technical evaluations and implementation of new development requests, including technical assessments supporting platform roadmap planning.
• Support the definition of complex application development, administration, and programming standards, while collaborating with technical teams to validate business requirements and ensure appropriate consideration of security, scalability, and platform limits.
• Assist in overseeing Salesforce release management processes, ensuring proper utilization of DevOps deployment tools.
• Support Salesforce CRM data feeds, integrations, and associated technologies that support end users.
• Develop Apex classes and triggers, as well as Visualforce components, based on business and technical requirements to extend Salesforce functionality.
• Perform custom user interface development, including Visualforce pages, Lightning Pages, Aura Components, and Lightning Web Components.
• Adhere to Salesforce development standards and practices, maintain technical documentation, and develop and maintain test classes for all custom development.

Hiring Range: $110,000-120,000

Education And Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Minimum of two (2) years of Salesforce CRM development experience.
• Strong understanding of Apex, Visualforce, HTML, CSS, and related programming technologies.
• Experience with DevOps release management.
• Understanding Agile and delivery and project management frameworks, methodologies, and practices.
• Familiarity with Higher Education Data Architecture, Education Cloud, and Agentforce Education is preferred.
• Salesforce Platform Developer certification is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines while effectively managing and prioritizing multiple requests with a positive, solution-oriented approach.
• Demonstrated creative and analytical thinking with strong problem-solving capabilities.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including active listening skills.
• Demonstrated commitment to fostering an inclusive environment that reflects the diversity of students and employees and ensures all individuals feel respected and valued.

This is a hybrid position that will require some time worked from the physical campus work location in Indianapolis, IN. In compliance with the College's Out of State Workers Policy, only candidates who will reside in and work from the states of Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan, and Ohio will be considered for this position.
