Senior Manager, Communications

Position Summary...

The Senior Manager, Executive Communications plays a key role in supporting strategic communications for the President and CEO of Walmart U.S. This position helps bring the CEO's vision, priorities, and leadership voice to life across internal communications, executive visibility opportunities, social media, thought leadership platforms, and major internal events.

About the team:

This is a collaborative, execution-focused role that partners closely with the Senior Director, Executive Communications & Event Strategy to develop compelling content and coordinate communications engagements and events. The ideal candidate is an exceptional writer and organized operator who thrives in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment and can manage multiple priorities with precision, professionalism, and sound judgment.

What you'll do...

• Draft and develop high-quality communications materials for the President and CEO of Walmart U.S., ensuring consistency in voice, tone, and messaging.

• Help manage executive social media and thought leadership content, identifying opportunities to elevate visibility and engagement.

• Support planning and execution of major Walmart U.S. internal events, ensuring timelines, approvals, deliverables, and logistics remain on track.

• Partner closely with Events, Creative, Digital, and cross-functional business teams to translate business priorities into clear, engaging messaging tailored for specific audiences, forums and audiences.

• Leverage tools and technology-including GenAI-to improve efficiency, organization, and quality of communications output.

What you'll bring:

• Experience in executive communications, internal communications, public relations, corporate communications, or a related field.

• Exceptional writing, editing, storytelling, and presentation development skills.

• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment.

• Experience supporting senior executives or leadership communications, in a complex organization preferred.

• Familiarity with executive social media platforms, communications technologies, and GenAI tools is a plus.

• Ability to work collaboratively across teams and influence stakeholders at multiple levels.

• A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with strong critical thinking skills, sound judgment, and a focus on continuous improvement.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :

Minimum Qualifications...

Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, or related field and 4 years' experience in corporate communications, public relations, or relevant area OR 6 years' experience in corporate communications, public relations, or relevant area.

1 year's supervisory experience or experience leading cross-functional teams.
