3rd Shift Chemical Operator

A manufacturing facility in Fort Mill, SC is looking for 10 Chemical Operators looking to interview candidates ASAP. This role is fast paced and demanding. This company is growing quickly and willing to train for upward progression. This is a Direct Hire opportunity. This will operate off the 2-2-3 schedule and will include days and nights.

salary: $47,840 - $52,000 per year
shift: First
work hours: 8 PM - 8 AM
education: High School

Responsibilities

• Follows instructions on batch sheets and operating instructions.
• Trains new operators.
• Completes operating records accurately.
• Maintains inventory of in-process materials, including incomplete batches and liquors.
• Inventories manufacturing supplies and notifies supervisor when supplies are needed.
• Completes other tasks as assigned by management.
• Handles hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
• Weighs out quantities of liquid and solid chemicals.
• Adds chemicals to reactors, mix tanks, or other equipment.
• Monitors reactions. Samples vessel contents and adjusts conditions based on test results.
• Transfers chemicals between vessels. Adjusts valve positions, uses pumps and chemical hoses.
• Operates centrifuges, filters and other separation devices.
• Loads dryers, flakers, grinders and other solids handling equipment.
• Samples product, records laboratory results and communicates any off-spec results.
• Packages material into the desired packaging types. Labels product accurately..

The essential functions of this role include:

• wearing steel toe shoes
• manual lifting up to 50lbs
• standing for 12 hours at one time
• working up to 12 hrs of overtime per week

Skills

• chemical operator (4 years of experience is preferred)
• forklift operator (3 years of experience is preferred)
• warehouse (1 year of experience is preferred)
• batch making (4 years of experience is preferred)
