Project Engineer - Land Development

We are seeking a motivated Project Engineer - Land Development to support the delivery of residential, commercial and infrastructure development projects from initial planning through to construction. This role will suit a technically capable professional who enjoys working across design, approvals, project coordination and construction support. You will collaborate with clients, consultants, contractors, authorities and internal stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time and in accordance with applicable standards.


Your responsibilities will include preparing and reviewing civil engineering designs, drawings, specifications, reports and cost estimates for land development works, including earthworks, roads, stormwater drainage, water and sewer infrastructure, and utility coordination. You will assist with development applications, planning and engineering approvals, tender documentation, contractor procurement and construction administration. The role will also involve coordinating multidisciplinary consultants, monitoring project budgets and programmes, reviewing technical submissions, responding to requests for information, attending site inspections and resolving design or construction issues as they arise. Maintaining accurate project records and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, codes and engineering standards will be an important part of the position.


Applicants should hold a degree or relevant qualification in Civil Engineering and have professional experience in land development, civil infrastructure or a related field. Experience with design and documentation software such as Civil 3D, 12d or equivalent, together with a sound understanding of local authority requirements and development approval processes, will be highly regarded. You will demonstrate strong technical judgement, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple projects. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with a collaborative approach and confidence working with a range of stakeholders. A valid driver's licence and the right to work in the relevant location are required.
