Production SupervisorLocation: Goldsboro, US, 27530 Date: Jul 25, 2026 Job Area: Operations Job Level: Experienced Main tasks:Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules and expedites workflowAssigns duties and examines work for exactness, neatness and conformance to policies and procedures as well as customer expectationsHires, trains, develops, mentors, counsels, issues written and oral instructions to staff, and terminates according to HR policiesIdentifies employees' skills and develops them by coaching and counselingControls and minimizes labor overtimeEnforces understanding and compliance with all company policies and proceduresEvaluates current processes and finds ways to standardize procedures to improve efficiency of workersConfers with other managers in the Manufacturing plant to ensure coordination of warehouse activitiesEnsures a safe work environment with a focus on "Safety First" with no lost-time worker's comp incidentsIncorporates shop floor organization and plant cleanliness among plant personnelReports daily production output along with a detail note of issuesAssesses production levels and customer needs to improve efficiencies and meet goalsMonitors all of the facility insuring employees are at work stations for startup, breaks and lunch timelyAny additional duties as assignedRequirements:High School Diploma / GED; Bachelor's degree preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience3 year of experience supervising a large staff, including responsibility for hiring, counseling, training, terminating and performance appraisals preferred3 years manufacturing, distribution, logistics and material management experience requiredInterpersonal skills and problem-solving skills necessary to work in a cooperative, positive team approachCustomer and supplier orientation, organization and coordination skillsAbility to lead, train and mentor employees on a personal & professional levelExperience or knowledge of raw materials planning/production scheduling processMust have 5 S skills (keep work area safe and clean)Must work safely and identify all safety issues using the STOP, CALL, WAIT system until repairs are madeAbility to write routine reports and correspondencesLean Manufacturing experience desiredMicrosoft Office Suite proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint), experience working in ERP systems/ Sage experience a plusMust be able to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multi-task with self-initiative and the ability to work under pressureForklift experience or certification preferredSelf-driven, attention to detail, results-oriented with a positive outlook, and a clear focus on deliverablesStrong verbal and written communication skills; active listening skills with all levels of employeesMust be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs.
