What You Will Do The Referral (SAM) will represent Amgen's Rare Disease products to primary care and related specialties, establish biotech/infusion product sales, increase referrals, and perform territory account management. Collaborate with 2-3 Specialty Account Managers in Rheumatology and Nephrology sales teams to identify appropriate referral patients. Develop a comprehensive territory business plan to achieve annual sales goals. Promote disease state awareness and value of product to target customers. Promote identification of appropriate patient types for referral to treatment. Regularly communicate progress with SAM/ASD. Promote KRYSTEXXA within approved labeling, consistent with guidelines. Develop strong customer relationships by understanding needs and goals. Consistently meet or exceed corporate sales goals. Communicate territory activity timely as directed by management. Provide feedback to sales and leadership about changing environment. Adhere to compliance policies and guidelines. Complete all Amgen training classes. Complete administrative duties accurately and timely. Manage efforts within promotional and operational budget. Maximize use of approved resources to achieve territory and account level goals. Collaborate across divisions within GBU to achieve objectives. Attend medical congresses and society meetings as needed. Perform other tasks as requested. What We Expect Of You We seek a motivated professional with the following qualifications. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of sales experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device industry or hospital sales experience. Or Associate degree and 6 years of sales experience. Or High school diploma/GED and 8 years of sales experience. Preferred Qualifications Buy and bill experience preferred. Biologic/biotech sales and reimbursement experience preferred. Established customer relationships in primary care, podiatry, and/or orthopedic markets required. Experience in Rheumatology and Nephrology therapeutic areas preferred. Team environment with Commercial Operations functions. Strong organizational, analytical, and computer skills. Approximately 30% travel, including overnight and weekend commitments. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Professional, proactive demeanor. Strong interpersonal skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. What You Can Expect Of Us The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is $145,060 to $172,941.
