Registered Nurse

A Medical Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse is needed. The RN is responsible for the overall management of nursing care provided. The nurse will assure competent, compassionate, and cost-effective patient care from admission to discharge. The responsibilities include assuring the safety, comfort, personal hygiene, and protection of patients. The RN will perform disease prevention and restorative measures. The nurse will respond to medical and environmental emergencies. Flexibility to float to other units within the scope of practice is required. The expectation is for travel nurses to be adaptable in floating to different campuses or within the hospital. Notices for floating will typically be given 1.5 hours prior to shift start time. All travelers can anticipate a shuttle service if floating is requested. The unit may involve working with various interdisciplinary support teams. Patient care involves adults and geriatric patients. Daily census is approximately 25 patients. Patient ratios are 5 patients per nurse during the day and evening shifts. The nurse will provide comprehensive care for patients with diverse medical conditions.
