Advanced BESS Technician

Job Overview Pearce, a leading technology‑enabled provider of asset management solutions, is seeking an Experienced Travel Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Technician to perform operations and maintenance on commercial and industrial solar energy projects across the United States. This is a 100% travel role. Preferred candidates should reside in California, Arizona, or Texas. Core Responsibilities Troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance on BESS equipment. Perform Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures as an authorized person. Conduct daily safety and task planning discussions including pre‑task planning, Job Hazard Assessments (JHAs), and Risk Assessments (RAs). Interact with vendors and customers professionally. Act as a team member to support site work, which may include supervising field work onsite focusing on safety, quality, and efficiency. Qualifications & Experience At least 2 years of electrical proficiency related to electrical systems and components. At least 2 years of renewable energy experience (preferred). Strong commitment to safety and attention to detail. Post‑secondary education (preferred). Electrical certifications such as OSHA 10, OSHA 30, or NFPA70E (preferred). Excellent written and verbal communication skills to meet EHS requirements. Valid driver’s license for at least one year. Travel and Work Requirements 100% travel across the United States. Work possible rotating shifts. Ability to work in ergonomic and challenging positions. Comfortable with varied climates at project locations. Compensation Hourly rate: $25.00‑$40.00 DOE, plus per diem. Base Pay Range: $25 - $40 USD. Benefits
