Together, we're improving health and improving lives.Labcorp is seeking a Clinical Core Laboratory Supervisor to join our team in Ascension Saint Thomas Midtown Hospital in Nashville, TN. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 6:00AM - 2:30PM. Some flexibility on start/end time. Weekends/holidays as needed.Job ResponsibilitiesSupervise the day-to-day operations of the Core Laboratory departmentPerform bench work and maintain proficiency/competency in technical operationsEnsure laboratory tests are accurately performed, and results are reported in a timely mannerDirectly supervise, train, and mentor laboratory personnel of the departmentMonitor daily workflow in the lab and schedule adequate assay coverageResponsible for ensuring all shifts in the department are properly staffedResearch and resolve any production errors while escalating when necessaryEngage in continuous process and service level improvementsEnsure all equipment is being properly maintained through Quality ControlPrepare and maintain Quality Assurance records and documentsEvaluate new process improvements and make appropriate recommendationsMeet regularly with direct reports to provide coaching and feedback for their developmentEnsure all work is in accordance with state and Federal regulationsResponsible for administering and managing policies and proceduresProcess and maintain payroll and personnel filesPerform administrative duties as neededMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology5 or more years of experience as a Medical Lab Technologist (MLS) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)TN Laboratory Supervisor License or ability to obtain it within 30 days of hirePreferred Qualifications:1 or more years of experience supervising or leading a team3 or more years of experience as a MLS or MLT generalistAdditional Job Standards:In lieu of education requirements listed above, non-traditional degrees with applicable science credits that meet CLIA standards may meet education requirementStrong working knowledge of CLIA, CAP and relevant state regulationsUnderstanding of laboratory operations as well as policies and proceduresProficient with Laboratory Information Systems and Microsoft OfficeStrong communication skills; both written and verbalHigh level of attention to detail with strong organizational skillsComfortability making decisions in a changing environmentAbility to handle the physical requirements of the positionAble to pass a standardized color blindness testAre you an experienced clinical laboratory professional looking for leadership opportunity?
