Overview
This travel assignment is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Neonatal Intensive Care (Level II NICU) in Westwood, New Jersey. The start date is 09/22/2026 for a duration measured in weeks, with nights as the primary shift (3x12-hour nights). Weekly pay ranges from $1,635 to $1,765, and guaranteed hours are 0.0. The unit operates as a 5-bed NICU within a hospital setting and requires orientation and travel experience considerations. Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to neonates in a Level II NICU, including resuscitation and APGAR scoring as needed.
- Manage ventilatory support and related equipment: ventilators (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BiPAP/PEEP), Bubble CPAP, and High-Flow Nasal Cannula.
- Care for lines and IV access: UAC/UVC, central lines, blood draws, starting/maintaining IVs, and administration of blood products, antibiotics, and antivirals.
- Support feeding for neonates (bottle, gavage/tube placement and management) and assist with thermoregulation and phototherapy as indicated.
- Perform sepsis workups and manage neonatal sepsis considerations; attend high-risk deliveries as needed.
- Monitor and document patient status, participate in rounds, and maintain charting in Epic; coordinate care with the multidisciplinary team.
- Float to Baby Nurse as needed and adhere to the 1:2 patient-to-nurse ratio when applicable.
- Complete orientation requirements and support ongoing clinical learning.

Requirements
- Travel experience required; NICU travel experience preferred
- Preferred: 2 years of neonatal/NICU experience; neonates including premature 29–34+ weeks
- Certifications: BLS; NRP or NRP Advanced; STABLE listed in certification field
- Key skills: Neonatal resuscitation/APGAR, ventilator management, Bubble CPAP, HFNC, UAC/UVC and central line care, IV starts, blood products administration, antibiotics/antivirals, feeding support, phototherapy, thermoregulation, sepsis workup, NAS, attend high-risk deliveries
- Charting: Epic (charting experience required)
- Compliance: State or Compact license must be in hand at time of submittal; 50-mile radius rule – no local candidates
- Onboarding: core items and labs completed within 48 hours of contract signing; orientation 12 hours
- Additional: All RTO requests must be listed at time of submittal; float to Baby Nurse as needed
