We are seeking a strategic and execution-focused Global Payroll Manager to lead the operations, compliance, and continuous improvement of payroll processes across the US, EMEA, Canada, and APAC. Overseeing approximately 400 payroll cycles annually, this leadership role is ideal for a multi-country payroll expert who thrives in a fast-paced environment, excels at vendor management, and loves leveraging data analytics to optimize global operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Global Payroll Leadership: Direct end-to-end payroll operations across the U.S. and over 10 international jurisdictions, ensuring flawless, compliant execution.
• Vendor & Compliance Management: Oversee global third-party payroll vendors, monitor SLAs, and ensure strict adherence to international statutory requirements, tax regulations, and labor laws.
• Team Development: Mentor, coach, and scale a high-performing payroll team, fostering a culture of accountability and customer service excellence.
• Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate closely with HR, Finance, Accounting, Legal, and Equity Administration to ensure seamless data flow and accurate processing of stock events, bonuses, and benefits.
• Audit & Controls: Maintain robust internal control frameworks (including SOX compliance workflows), lead quarter-end and year-end statutory reporting, and ensure audit readiness.
• Systems & Data Analytics: Act as the internal subject matter expert for major HRIS/Payroll systems (Workday, ADP, UKG, or equivalent). Utilize advanced Excel and data modeling to deliver labor cost insights and drive root-cause analysis for process optimization.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• Experience: 10+ years of progressive payroll experience, with a heavy emphasis on managing complex global payrolls across EMEA, Canada, and APAC.
• Leadership: Proven track record of managing, developing, and motivating a payroll team.
• Technical Skills: Advanced Excel proficiency is required (complex formulas, data modeling, dashboards). Experience with major enterprise HRIS/Payroll platforms (e.g., Workday, ADP, UKG) is essential.
• Core Competencies: Strong critical thinking, structured problem-solving skills, and the ability to operate autonomously under pressure in a fast-growing environment. Excellent cross-functional communication skills across multiple time zones are a must.
