Description
  • Conduct assessments for diverse patient populations including pediatric, adult, and geriatric using standard evaluation tools and observations.
  • Craft individualized treatment plans that capture both immediate goals and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
  • Deliver dedicated one-on-one speech therapy focusing on communication improvement, language development, fluency enhancement, voice modulation, and swallowing rehabilitation.
  • Collaborate fiercely with a multidisciplinary team of physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to ensure cohesive care comprehension.
  • Provide education to patients and their families to facilitate progress beyond the clinic.
  • Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapies to ensure seamless continuity in patient care.
  • Document patient progress accurately and within the confines of state, federal, and organizational regulations.
  • Commit to lifelong learning and staying abreast of advancements in clinical practice.
Education
  • Master's in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you have not yet earned ASHA certification.
Certifications
  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within the first month of employment.

  • Expertise in evidence-based practices throughout all life stages, with a solid grasp of both developmental and acquired communication disorders.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills for communicating effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary colleagues.
  • Capacity to adjust therapeutic approaches tailored to meet a variety of cultural and linguistic considerations.
  • Sound clinical judgment accompanied by strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Familiarity and comfort working with electronic medical records and associated documentation standards.
