The Nuclear Medicine Technologist, under the general supervision of the Stress Lab Manager, is responsible for performing routine nuclear cardiology, radiopharmacy, and quality control procedures. The Technologist documents, obtains, and processes images and/or data from nuclear medicine technology and provides processed results to the physician for final interpretation. Additional responsibilities include the ability to order, assay, dispense, and administer radioactive materials. Nuclear medicine provides critical insight into both the structure and function of major organ systems. Primary Location: Middletown-155 (must be able to float to Monroe and West Nyack)Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:30am/7:00am to 2:30pm/3:00pm Primary Responsibilities:Perform routine and specialized nuclear cardiology and nuclear medicine proceduresAdminister radiopharmaceuticals and medications for imaging and therapeutic proceduresAcquire, process, and evaluate images to ensure technical qualityProvide data, images, and documentation to physicians for interpretationPerform radiopharmacy duties including ordering, assaying, dispensing radioactive materialsConduct quality control procedures and maintain equipment calibrationReview patient history and ensure exam appropriateness and safetyEducate patients regarding procedures and equipmentAssist with accreditation processes (e.g., ACR) and departmental workflows You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalentGraduate of JRCNMT-accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology programNYS DOH License (L.N.M.T.)ARRT (N) or CNMT certificationBasic Life Support (BLS) certificationIV certification or eligibility Preferred Qualifications:Degree in relevant fieldAdditional certifications such as PET or NCT Physical RequirementsWork is generally active; must be able to stand and/or sit for extended periodsMust be able to move or lift patients onto stretchers, tables, or wheelchairs as needed Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
