LASER OPERATOR

Job Objective: Committed to being part of a positive working environment while providing quality products and meeting customer's schedule. Reads blueprints, specs and ensures CNC laser machine runs quality parts per plan specification.
Essential Job Functions:
· Proficient at reading and interpreting aircraft blueprints and specifications.
· Setting up and operating CNC laser machine.
· Ensure setup cards and programs reflect the correct information, meet quality requirements, and can be interpreted by all users.
· Maintain setup cards and tooling as required.
· Adjust laser machine set up and or edit programs, as necessary.
· Checks and buys off own work.
· Perform machine maintenance as required.
· Ability to drive a forklift.
· Good communication skills.
· Occasional lifting up 50lbs.
Work Environment:
· Usual working days/hours: Monday through Thursday 6:00am - 4:30pm or Tuesday - Friday 6:00am - 4:30pm. Working hours are subject to change based upon company needs, may require working additional overtime on Saturdays.
· Manufacturing shop environment.
· Frequently bends, stoops, walks throughout the shop, and step up and down on the laser platform.
· Moderate noise level.

· Height Gages
· Calipers / Micrometers
· Belt Sander
· Die Grinder (Dotco)
Preferred Training
· GD&T
· Forklift Operation
· General ISO
· CNC Machine Operation
Requirements
· High School Diploma or equivalent
· Good mechanical and mathematical skills.
